Council History

The Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Peace Council 11378, is co-located with the Our Lady of Peace Parish in North Brunswick New Jersey.

Council 11378 was founded on June 30, 1994, through the generous contributions and efforts of the Our Lady of Peace parishioners and Reverend John V. Polyak.   In the early days, it was a struggle, taking almost an entire year to find sufficient Catholic Gentlemen to begin the formation of the council.  Once the Council was formed, one of our original activities started - and our Annual 50/50 Super Fund Raiser was born.  Along with selling Christmas trees, the Council was off and running!!

Over the years, as with every organization, our Council quieted down.  Then in early 2009, the Council experienced a re-birth, enrolling multiple members and expanding the activities and support of the Parish.  As recognition of our re-birth, this Council has achieved Star or Double Star Awards from the Supreme Council for the past three years!!

Council 11378 continues to provide funds and volunteers to support the OLOP Parish and North Brunswick Community, building strong families and community through fraternal and charitable activities.  Our council is proud of its traditions of brotherhood and active participation in our Catholic Community, thus we encourage all members to attend Council meetings, participate in Council activities and simply Get Involved…
